Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Developed by MJ (“Developed by MJ,” “I,” “me,” or “my”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit developedbymj.com, submit a project inquiry, create or use a client account, communicate through a project workspace, or otherwise use the services available through this website.

1. Information I collect

The information collected depends on how you use the site.

Information you provide

  • Contact and identity information: name, email address, and, when you choose to provide it, phone number, Instagram handle, business name, or project name.
  • Project inquiry information: your project idea, requested features, pages or sections, branding and domain status, inspiration, goals, timeline, budget range, plan interest, and additional notes.
  • Account information: information used to create and maintain a client account, including your name, email address, phone number or contact preference when provided, account identifiers, confirmation status, and account activity timestamps.
  • Project workspace information: project details and status, messages, revision requests, approvals, notes you submit, files you upload, preview-related information, and other information needed to manage your project.
  • Communications: information you send by email, through project messaging, forms, or other direct communications with Developed by MJ.

Information collected automatically

When you use the site, the hosting and security systems may automatically process technical information such as your IP address, browser or device information, request timestamps, referring information, and security or anti-abuse signals. Developed by MJ also maintains limited operational timestamps, such as when an account or project workspace was last accessed, to support notifications, unread indicators, security, and project operations.

I do not intentionally request sensitive personal information through the public project inquiry form. Please do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, payment-card numbers, medical information, passwords, or other sensitive information unless I specifically request it through an appropriate secure process.

2. How information is collected

I collect information directly from you when you submit an inquiry, create or use an account, upload a file, send a message, respond to a project approval or revision request, or contact me. Technical and security information may be collected automatically when your browser or device communicates with the website and its infrastructure.

3. How I use information

I use personal information as reasonably necessary to:

  • review and respond to project inquiries;
  • provide, operate, personalize, and maintain client accounts and project workspaces;
  • communicate about projects, messages, approvals, revisions, files, support, and service-related updates;
  • send transactional emails such as inquiry confirmations, account communications, and project notifications;
  • plan, build, deliver, support, and maintain services requested by clients;
  • authenticate users and control access to private project information;
  • detect, investigate, prevent, and respond to spam, fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and security incidents;
  • debug, maintain, and improve the reliability and functionality of the website and services;
  • keep appropriate business and project records; and
  • comply with applicable law, enforce agreements, and protect the rights, safety, and property of Developed by MJ, clients, users, and others.

I do not use information submitted through the project inquiry form to sell personal information or for cross-context behavioral advertising.

4. Service providers and other disclosures

I may disclose information to service providers that process it on my behalf to operate the website and provide requested services. Current core providers include:

  • Cloudflare for website hosting, delivery, security, abuse prevention, and Turnstile bot detection;
  • Supabase for authentication, database, project data, and file/storage-related functionality; and
  • Resend for transactional email delivery.

These providers may process technical or personal information as needed to perform their services and are subject to their own contractual and privacy obligations.

I may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process; investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, or security threats; enforce agreements; protect legal rights or safety; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or transfer of the business, subject to applicable law.

I do not sell personal information for money. I also do not knowingly share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

5. Cloudflare Turnstile

This site uses Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated or abusive traffic and to protect forms and website infrastructure. Turnstile may process technical and browser signals necessary to perform its security function. According to Cloudflare, Turnstile does not access, store, or transmit the contents of your communications, form entries, or other page inputs as part of that security function.

Developed by MJ uses Turnstile in Invisible mode, so the verification may occur in the background without a visible challenge. Cloudflare requires sites using Invisible Turnstile to reference its Turnstile Privacy Addendum. You can also review Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

6. Cookies, local storage, and online tracking

The site and its service providers may use browser storage, cookies, authentication tokens, or similar technologies when technically necessary for account sign-in, session continuity, security, fraud prevention, and core website functionality. Cloudflare and Supabase may also process technical identifiers needed to provide their security and authentication services.

Developed by MJ does not currently use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site behavioral advertising on this website. If analytics, advertising, or other non-essential tracking technologies are added later, this policy will be updated and any consent or choice mechanisms required by applicable law will be implemented.

Do Not Track

Because there is not a universally accepted technical standard for browser “Do Not Track” signals, the site does not currently change its practices in response to those signals. Developed by MJ does not currently permit third-party advertising networks to collect personal information through this site for cross-site behavioral advertising. Browser privacy settings and legally recognized opt-out preference signals will be honored when required by applicable law.

7. Data retention

I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining project and business records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud or abuse, enforcing agreements, and satisfying legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and the relationship with you.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, I may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it, subject to technical limitations, backups, legal obligations, and legitimate business needs. Deleting an item from an interface may not always cause immediate removal from backups or records that must be retained for legal or security reasons.

8. Security

I use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including access controls, authentication, database authorization rules, anti-spam and rate-limiting controls, and bot detection. No website, network, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and I cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and should contact me promptly if you believe your account or information has been compromised.

9. Your privacy choices and requests

You may contact me to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information associated with you, or to ask a question about how your information is handled. Depending on applicable law and the nature of the request, I may need to verify your identity before acting and may retain information where permitted or required by law.

Send privacy requests to developedbymj@gmail.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. Please describe what you are requesting and provide enough information for me to identify the relevant account, inquiry, or project. I will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Transactional or service-related messages that are necessary to operate an account or active project may still be sent even if you do not wish to receive non-essential communications.

10. California privacy disclosures

Developed by MJ is based in California. California's Online Privacy Protection Act (CalOPPA) requires qualifying commercial websites that collect personally identifiable information from California consumers to conspicuously post a privacy policy describing their practices.

For purposes of this policy, the categories of personally identifiable information collected are described in Section 1, the categories of third parties with whom information may be disclosed are described in Section 4, the process for requesting review or changes is described in Section 9, the process for material policy changes is described in Section 14, and the effective date appears at the top of this policy.

Some California privacy rights depend on whether a business meets statutory thresholds and on the context in which information is processed. Nothing in this policy is intended to limit rights that apply to you under California or other applicable privacy law. If a right applies to your information, you may exercise it using the contact process in Section 9. I will not discriminate against you for exercising an applicable privacy right.

11. Children's privacy

The Developed by MJ website and services are intended for business owners, prospective clients, and clients and are not directed to children under 13. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this website. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, contact me so I can review and address the situation.

12. Processing in the United States and other locations

Developed by MJ operates from the United States. Service providers may process or store information in the United States or other locations where they operate. If you access the services from outside the United States, your information may therefore be processed in jurisdictions with privacy laws that differ from those in your location.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

I may update this Privacy Policy as the website, services, providers, or legal requirements change. When I make changes, I will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If a change materially affects how personal information is handled, I will provide additional notice when appropriate, such as a prominent notice on the website, within the client workspace, or by email where appropriate.
